Summary and Background Information:
Public Works Department manages all open space areas and rights-of-way in the city amounting to more than 470 acres. Staff has been developing updated maps for mowing various areas on a routine basis and tracking associated labor, equipment, and costs. The city has also contracted with Adams County to identify and spray noxious weeds located within various rights-of-way and open space locations. Staff will provide an update on the program.
