Update and Policy Direction on Backyard Chickens

Summary and Background Information:
In 2015, City Council directed staff to research the specific topic concerning backyard chickens. Since this time, staff has done some preliminary research and data collection from around the nation, around the Denver area, and around Commerce City, and would like to share with City Council some factual data concerning this topic. The purpose of this study session is to review the data and information, receive appropriate comments, and gather consensus from Council on how they would like to proceed on this issue. As this is a study session only, no public hearing or voting will be required Monday evening.
