RESOLUTION APPROVING INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT REGARDING A JOINT WATER COMMISSION

Summary and Background Information:
An IGA between the City and SACWSD establishing a joint water commission was originally approved by Council on April 2, 2007 but never signed. The City and the District desire to confirm and update the 2007 IGA and the joint water commission established in 2007 with this new IGA. The original formation of a joint water commission with SACWSD stemmed from the April 28, 2004 IGA between the City and SACWSD and a continued effort to improve the working relationship with SACWSD on matters that concern both the City and the District. The intent is for the joint water commission to work on issues common to both the City and SACWSD as they arise and to provide recommendations to City Council and the Board.
