RESOLUTION APPOINTING TERESA ABLAO TO SERVE AS THE HEARING OFFICER FOR THE COMMERCE CITY MARIJUANA LICENSING AUTHORITY

Summary and Background Information: Commerce City recently enacted an ordinance to license and regulate marijuana businesses in the City. Pursuant to Section 8-2103 of the Commerce City Revised Municipal Code, the City Council is authorized to appoint a hearing officer to serve as the City's Marijuana Licensing Authority. Staff published a request for qualifications for the position of Marijuana Authority Hearing Officer in February 2015 and received applications from several qualified candidates. Staff has reviewed the applications and recommends the appointment of Teresa Ablao to serve as the hearing officer for the City of Commerce City's Marijuana Licensing Authority.
