Summary and Background Information: The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge's Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was a major collaborative planning effort that will guide the Refuge for the next 15 years. The draft was released May 1, 2015, for 60 days of public comment. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will hold four public meetings to explain the plan and solicit feedback from the public. Meetings will occur between June 1st and June 11th at the Reunion Recreation Center, Commerce City Recreation Center, Stapleton MCA, and Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center. Mr. Lucas will present information on the draft plan and next steps. A June 8 study session will provide in-depth discussion of the plan, how it effects/impacts the community and proposed comments from city.
