Title
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2015 BUDGET OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY, COLORADO BY THE RECOGNITION OF THE ADAMS COUNTY OPEN SPACE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $200,000 TO BE USED FOR THE FRONTERRA NEIGHBORHOOD PARK PROJECT AND THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE EXPENDITURE THEREOF.
Body
Summary and Background Information: Funds will be used to ensure that the full build-out of the park will occur, including a perimeter path, open play fields, a playground, shelters, a multi-use handcourt, a passive natural area, a small skate area and a hillside slide. Due to timing of the construction contract award, project contingency budgets were drawn upon to include all these elements. Recognition of these grant funds will enable the contingency budgets to be replenished. The total Fronterra Park budget will be increased by $200,000; however, the total amount of 2k funding for the project will remain the same. After the completion of the project, any remaining project contingency will be reallocated to the 2k program.
