Title
RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RELATED TO ABANDONMENT OF STATE HIGHWAY 2, RESPONSIBLE ACCELERATION OF MAINTENANCE AND PARTNERSHIPS (RAMP) PROGRAM

Body
Summary and Background Information:
The City will be receiving $15.7M from CDOT to take over ownership and maintenance responsibilities for 8.676 miles of State Highway 2 between mile marker 11.100 and mile marker 19.776. This action concurs with CDOT's evaluation that this segment of highway no longer serves the ongoing purposes of the State Highway System. Once a boundary survey of the roadway is complete, the city and CDOT will enter into an intergovernmental agreement (IGA),which outlines the condition of the abandonment of the highway segment by the state and acceptance by the city. This action will likely occur in the spring of 2015.
