Summary and Background Information: Kaiser Permanente offered a "Walk & Wheel Colorado: Increasing Walking & Biking in Colorado Through Employer Action" grant opportunity. The grant fits very well with the mission of the Employee Wellness Committee. The Employee Wellness Committee decided to submit an application to assist with costs for the City's wellness programs. Funds from this award will pay for 1) under desk bikes, 2) pedometers, 3) educational speakers and 4) incentives/prizes.
