Arbor Day Proclamation and Tree City USA Award Recognition

Summary and Background Information:
Commerce City has been recognized as a "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation for the 31st consecutive year. This is a testament to the city's promotion, interest of planting and caring for trees in city-owned properties.
To celebrate and promote Arbor Day this year, on April 29th, the Parks, Recreation and Golf department will have tree seedlings available to the community at the Eagle Pointe and Bison Ridge Recreation Centers. Donna Davis from the Colorado State Forest Service will attend the City Council meeting on April 4, 2022 to present the Tree City USA Award to the Mayor and City Council.
