Title
AN ORDINANCE amending section 8-1402 of the commerce city revised municipal code regarding liquor violatIOns involving underage persons
Body
Summary and Background Information:  It was recently discovered that Chapter 8 of the Commerce City Revised Municipal Code, which pertains to the licensing and operations of liquor establishments generally,  does not explicitly prohibit the serving of liquor to individuals under 21 years of age.  Although the activity is prohibited in other sections of the Code and by state law, an amendment to Chapter 8 is desirable because both licensees and the police officers enforcing liquor laws look to that chapter for guidance.
