Summary and Background Information:  
 
The Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) outlines the process for completing this project using the federal grant funds from the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program. The SRTS will provide $284,618 in funding to the City, which will be supplemented by approximately $125,000 from the 2015 Pavement Management Fund to complete the following improvements:
·      Mill & overlay of East 72nd Avenue from approximately Highway 2 to Quebec Parkway
·      Restriping of East 72nd Avenue to allow for on-street bike lanes
·      Construction of pedestrian median refuges
·      Installation of a HAWK (High-Intensity Activated crosswalk beacon) signal
·      Repair and upgrade of sidewalks, crosswalks, and pedestrian curb ramps
·      Enhance existing bike routes on side streets leading to East 72nd Avenue with on-street markings and improved signage
