Summary and Background Information

The City of Commerce City is authorized to adopt procedures to govern the conduct of meetings and rules governing the decision-making process. Currently, the City Council uses Robert's Rules of Order as a general guide for meeting conduct, but has not formally adopted any rules of order to govern meeting procedures. On May 20, 2024, the City Council moved to formally adopt Bob's Rules of Order and amend Council Policy #CP-16 accordingly.
