AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2016 BUDGET OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY, COLORADO BY THE RECOGNITION OF THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CDOT) GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $691,600 FOR THE SUPPORT OF INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE NORTH METRO RAIL LINE AT COLORADO BLVD AND E. 72ND AVENUE AND THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE EXPENDITURE THEREOF.

Summary and Background Information:
Funds from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be used to make infrastructure improvements for the North Metro Rail Line at Colorado Blvd. and E. 72nd Avenue. The items constructed for this facility include:
1. Curb, gutter and a 5 foot wide sidewalk along both sides of the street;
2. Drainage improvements, including inlets, manholes and reinforced concrete (RCP) pipe;
3. Street lighting spaced at 300 foot intervals on both sides of the street; and
4. Hot mix asphalt pavement.
