Summary and Background Information

The Second Creek watershed is currently developing rapidly changing from mostly agriculture to an urbanized area.  The tributaries to Second Creek have not been studied in detail.  This IGA will authorize the Mile High Flood District and affected municipalities to further study the tributaries and come up with a plan to preserve these drainageways for future development.

Financial Impact:  $40,000

Funding Source: The total for this IGA is $295,000.  Commerce CIty is contributing $40,000.  The Mile High Flood District is contributing $210,000.  The City and County of Denver is contributing $45,000, and Adams County is anticipated to contribute $15,000 in 2021.

 

 

Staff RecommendationStaff recommends executing the IGA with Mile High Flood District, City and County of Denver, and Adams County.
