Summary & Background
The city has been awarded grant dollars for the 2023 CDOT Click it or Ticket campaign. The goals of the Click it or Ticket (CIOT) campaign are to increase public awareness and compliance with Colorado’s occupant protection and graduated driver licensing laws (GDL) and of the possibility of sustaining serious or fatal injuries for failing to properly use occupant protection systems, such as belts and car seats. This grant provides funding for overtime enforcement of Colorado’s child passenger safety, GDL, and adult occupant protection laws.
This CIOT grant fund will be used to cover the cost of overtime for traffic law enforcement consistent with CIOT's campaign and objectives.
