Summary and Background Information

The City of Commerce City has been awarded a grant in the amount of $4,500 from Walmart to fund youth services bike programs and events. The money for this grant will help provide bicycles to youth in Commerce City. The use of the bicycles will help provide transportation to and from school, recreation programs, work etc. Commerce City Youth Services has collaborated with the Police Department for a number of years on biking programs. This money will help support those programs and allow a larger number of youth to participate in the bike programs.

 

This grant will create an amendment to the 2023 Budget of the City of Commerce City, Colorado for the recognition of the funds from Walmart in the amount of $4,500.
