Summary and Background Information:
The purpose of this resolution is to providing key updates to the City Council with regards to environmental planning and oil and gas permitting in Commerce City.
For the month of November:
• There has been no change with City Oil and Gas permit applications.
- Five applications are under review.
- One application has been submitted but is incomplete.
• There are no active Form 2A and Form 2 applications for oil and gas development active with the State.
• A memo summarizing the organizational sustainability survey, and providing recommendations based on the survey, is currently under staff review.
• A new committee member was appointed to the Environmental Policy Advisory Committee (EPAC) on November 15.
• Resources and information were sent to EPAC members November 5 and November 19 to promote continued and engagement and educational purposes.
• The air quality monitoring plan is under revision.
• The low impact development guidance document is in development.
• The timeline for environmental policy development has been extended to reflect City staffing availability.
