Summary and Background Information:  Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership has received $350,000 from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to plan trails connecting the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge to the surrounding communities, greenways and open spaces/parks.  Commerce City is partnering with SCRGP to plan a trail from the Visitor Center at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge south to 56th Ave. and also to plan the O'Brian canal Trail from 96th Ave. south to approximately 62nd Ave. where it connects to the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Trail.  SCRGP is providing $100,000 to Commerce City for these two planning projects.
