Title
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REPLACING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 3 AND AMENDING CHAPTER 1, CHAPTER 6, AND CHAPTER 9 OF THE COMMERCE CITY REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSES FOR CIVIL INFRACTIONS, NUISANCES, AND BUSINESS LICENSING
Body
Summary and Background Information: Commerce City relies on an appointed administrative hearing officer to conduct non-judicial proceedings for various licensing and code enforcement matters. The proposed ordinance modifies applicable code sections to streamline, consolidate, and clarify procedures and authorities for the benefit of residents, licensees, and city operations. The proposed changes do not substantively change resident or licensee rights, obligations, or potential penalties, but impose clearer standards on the city and opportunities for early resolution of disputes.
The only modifications from the study session review are to: 1) adjust the time for submitting protests and for scheduling hearings to coincide; 2) modify deadlines to be in multiples of 7; and 3) correct typographical errors.
