Summary and Background Information:  Each year the E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation awards $2,500 grants for organizations as a means of promoting transportation safety.
 
As part of the EPIC program, campers attending this year's Commerce City Police Camp will learn about 1) Traffic flow, traffic safety, and traffic enforcement; 2) Different types of multi-modal units within the police department; 3) What alerts officers to make a traffic stop; 4) Procedures during a traffic stop; 5) What to do if you are stopped; and, 6) Reasons to conduct traffic control.
 
Funds were requested to offset food costs provided by the camp for the 45 youth and 10 staff in attendance during the week-long camp.
