Title
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR HOUSING AND LIVABILITY IMPROVEMENTS TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF METRO DENVER
Body
Summary and Background Information:
The City Council in February of 2024, allocated the remainder of the City’s American Rescue Plan Act funding towards various initiatives, primarily targeting improvements in the Core City under the now ACT Program. Housing and Livability Improvements were identified as a major component of the ACT Program, and $2,500,000.00 was allocated for this category. City staff has determined that partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver will be in the best interest of the City's residents to provide minor home repair improvements like siding, paint, roof, gutters, windows, doors, fencing, tree trimming or removal, hazardous service panels, dangerous porch conditions, non-ROW sidewalks.
The cost to the City of the Project will exceed $250,000.00 and, pursuant to the City’s procurement policies and the City Manager’s commitment to the City Council, the City Council must approve any procurement in excess of $250,000.00.
