Summary and Background Information

The North Metro Community Diversion Board provides oversight and evaluation of designated service providers selected to develop, implement, and accomplish the goals and objectives of the North Metro Diversion Program (YDP) as set forth in the intergovernmental agreement establishing the YDP, dated October 28, 1996.

Historically the Judge and Court Administrator have been representatives of Commerce City on the Diversion Board.

Staff Recommendation:  City Council to grant the City Manager authority to make the appointment.

Suggested Motion: Motion to authorize the City Manager to appoint a City staff member to serve as the designated representative of Commerce City on the North Metro Community Diversion Board for a term of 2 years (term to be set by governmental entity appointing board member as outlined in the bylaws
