Title

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A MODEL SERVICE PLAN FOR USE BY APPLICANTS FOR THE FORMATION OF METROPOLITAN DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY, COLORADO

Body

Summary and Background Information

This resolution is required to adopt the new model service plan. This service plan will be used by any new applicants seeking to create a metropolitan district within Commerce City. This updated model service plan includes the new regulations discussed by Council and approved unanimously within Ordinance 2549 at its first reading on 11/13/23. The model service plan must be approved separately from the regulations, however, and only requires a resolution to do so, not an ordinance. Therefore this resolution is coming before Council at the same time as the second reading of Ordinance 2549. The service plan that is attached to the packet is the same version that Council has previously seen and discussed at the first reading of Ordinance 2549.

Staff and outside counsel will be available to answer any specific questions pertaining to the resolution, the service plan, or the regulations in general.
