Summary and Background Information: The new council subcommittee met on January 8, 2018, to learn more about the city's board, commission and committee program and the very important role they play in serving on this subcommittee. The first major event for the group is making reappointment selections for our volunteers who have expiring terms in February. There are also a number of vacancies throughout the various boards that need to be filled. With the majority of this subcommittee being newly appointed to council, they wanted to take this opportunity to become more familiar with our citizen volunteers and asked that all applicants, both new and returning, meet with them during an interview process. The first round of interviews is scheduled for Saturday between the hours of 9:00 am ad 5:00 pm in Room 2108 of the civic center.
