Summary and Background Information:  Each year the city  receives funds from the Federal JAG/Byrne Grant. This money is allocated based on a formula using Commerce City crime statistics and population as compared to other cities. This year the city was awarded $16,923. Grant funds will be used to purchase 15 tasers for police department personnel.
