Title
FIRST AND FINAL READING OF AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO AMEND COMMERCE CITY REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE (CCRMC) SECTION 2-2001 TO EXPLICITLY ALLOW FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS TO OCCUR BY ELECTRONIC MEANS
Body
Summary and Background Information:
Ordinance 2504 passed on Second reading on April 17, 2023 and amended CCRMC 2-2001 by creating subparts a, b, and c. It allowed Council meetings to occur by “electronic means” and defined that term. When Ordinance 2523 amending Section 2-2001 of the CCRMC was passed on second reading on June 5, 2023, it inadvertently omitted the subparts permitting meetings to occur by electronic means. This emergency ordinance explicitly corrects the impression that electronic meetings may not be authorized while maintaining the third City Council meeting.
