Summary & Background
As Commerce City continues to grow and develop, the number of City employees needed to serve the community increases. The number of full-time employees (FTEs) employed by the City continues to increase year over year, but the space that we have available for employees to work in has not grown at the same rate. Staff has been exploring different options for accommodating the growing City employee population. Commerce City currently owns the fifth floor of the office building located at 7190 Colorado Boulevard. The sixth floor of the office building is available for lease and would provide just over 10,400 square feet of office space.
The City has been offered an all-in lease rate of $12,687 per month for the first year of a five-year lease term. The City also has the option to extend the lease for two additional years.
Staff is seeking approval from Council to enter into the lease with Adams Tower NP Center LLC.
