Summary and Background Information:  Each year the Quality Community Foundation awards a $4,000 scholarship(s) to qualified Commerce City resident(s) over a four year period to assist with costs in obtaining a higher education degree.
 
Applicants must be Commerce City residents, must have been accepted to a college, university or vocational school in Colorado, reflect a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, submit an application including a concise essay on their proposed field of study, educational goals, career goals, and how their education will benefit the community.
 
This year, two applicants were selected:
 
Abigail Jimenez - Ms. Jimenez plans to study Biology at Metropolitan State University in hopes of becoming an oral surgeon. Ms. Jimenez recently graduated from Adams City High School with a 4.37 GPA.
 
Navdeep Singh - Ms. Singh plans to study integrative physiology at the University of Colorado at Boulder in hopes of becoming a pediatrician. Ms. Signh recently graduated from Prairie View High School with a 4.38 GPA.
