Summary and Background Information:
The City Attorney's Office and City Clerk's Office have worked on modernizing the City's marijuana regulations after a slate of new regulations were approved by the Colorado Legislature. City Council was given an opportunity to weigh in on allowing new license types and regulations at the April 24, 2023 study session. This ordinance would add the following new marijuana license types in the City: Medical marijuana delivery permits, Medical marijuana transportation licenses, Medical and retail marijuana off-premises storage permits, Marijuana research and development licenses. These also streamline various procedures relating to licensing.
