A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WSB, LLC FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT TO THE MEDIANS ON HIGHWAY 2 BETWEEN EAST 72ND AVENUE AND EAST 112TH AVENUE

In 2017, Highway 2 was widened from a two-lane to a four-lane road from the Quebec Parkway intersection to 112th Avenue. For much of the length of this segment, opposing traffic is separated by a four-foot-wide painted median. The goal of this project is to improve safety along the segment of Highway 2 between East 72nd Avenue and East 112th Avenue. The Consultant is designing median safety improvements that can be implemented within the existing footprint of the roadway. The City has sought and received approval for funding from CDOT towards the construction of the medians, which are covered by an Intergovernmental Agreement.
The purpose of this resolution is to extend the Agreement for Professional Services with WSB to allow professional services to continue on-time and to complete design to allow for a September bid posting.
The resolution and amendment add no additional costs to the project or the original contract.
