Summary and Background Information:
Firefighter Appreciation Week is an annual, non-partisan platform at the end of August that enables communities to say "Thank You" to firefighters across Colorado. In response to the success of Firefighter Appreciation Week which was created in Colorado, efforts are now underway to draft legislation to create National Firefighter Appreciation Week in the United States. The proclamation recognizes the South Adams Fire Department, the City's partner in providing emergency response and prevention education.
