Title
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE COMMERCE CITY REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE REVISING THE SHORT-TERM RENTAL REGISTRATION PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY
Body
Summary & Background
On August 5, 2024, the City Council approved Ordinance 2583, which governs licensing for short-term rentals (STRs) within the City. At the time, it was not understood that an amendment to the Land Development Code (LDC) would be required in addition to the licensing regulations to fully allow STRs within the City.
This Ordinance 2653 complements the proposed changes in the LDC proposed in Ordinance 2648 by bringing the licensing regulations into alignment with the proposed LDC regulations by:
· Updating the definition of STRs
· Removing operational parameters from the licensing regulations that are covered by the LDC amendment
No other changes to the licensing regulations are proposed. Exhibit B to Ordinance 2653 provides redline changes to the licensing code.
