Title
Proclamation Declaring September 28, 2024, as Good Neighbor Day in Commerce City, Colorado
...Body
Summary and Background:
President Jimmy Carter established this national day in 1978, and the United States Government has since designated September 28th of each year as National Good Neighbor Day. We urge the residents of Commerce City to honor this tradition and make a special effort on this day to understand and value their neighbors.
Commerce City's Code Enforcement Division, a key player in maintaining and enhancing the safety and appearance of all city properties, is celebrating National Good Neighbor Day by actively engaging with community members. This year, the Division is making a special effort to connect with community members at the following locations on Friday, September 27, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon to show our appreciation for your role in our community.
• Eagle Pointe Recreation Center, 6060 Parkway Dr.
• Bison Ridge Recreation Center, 13905 E. 112th Ave.
The team is excited to engage with the community and highlight the responsibilities that private property owners share. They will provide resources and a special gift to encourage residents to embody the spirit of good neighbors throughout the year.
