Summary and Background Information:
The kitchen facility at the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center will be re-designed and updated to serve primarily as a catering and teaching kitchen, with similar amenities as the kitchen at the Bison Ridge Recreation Center.
The current kitchen design and set-up is not conducive for hosting catered rental events, nor is it ideal for running any cooking programs.
The improved facilities will allow residents to host large catered events at the Eagle Pointe Rec Center. In addition, Recreation staff will be able to design family cooking programs to be hosted at Eagle Pointe as well as Bison Ridge Rec Centers.
On Sept 30, 2022, PRG staff reviewed the bids for the Eagle Pointe Kitchen Re-design and Construction project. Calahan Construction Services provided the most complete bid at the lowest cost. They are well-versed in municipal construction projects, having completed four recreation centers in Lakewood.
