The City of Commerce City, Parks Recreation and Golf, since 2015, has partnered with multiple entities (Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges, City of Aurora, Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership, United States Fish and Wildlife Service-Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, State of Colorado-Department of Natural Resources, Bluff Lake Nature Center, Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Environmental Learning for Kids, Groundwork Denver, Mile High Youth Corps, and The Urban Farm) to provide opportunities to area youth to connect and engage with the outdoors.
The Generation Wild Northeast Metro Coalition ("Coalition") has received multiple grants through Great Outdoors Colorado ("GOCO") for implementation to improve youth and family connections with the outdoors in under-served communities.

The Cooperative Agreement acknowledges the coalition partnership, co-sponsorship of the GOCO grant for 2024-2025, and the award of $371,000.
