Summary and Background Information:  Each year the City receives funds from the Federal JAG Byrne grant. This money is allocated based on a formula using Commerce City crime statistics and population as compared to other cities. This year the City was awarded $14,225. Grant funds will be used to purchase nine tasers and Leads Online software, a web-based electronic reporting service and online investigation system.
