Title

A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 4 OF THE DIRECTORY OF CITY FEES AND CHARGES TO ADD THE FEE CHARGED FOR SHORT TERM RENTAL UNIT LICENSES

Body

Summary and Background Information

On August 5, 2024, City Council passed Ordinance 2583 on second reading, establishing regulations for all short-term rental units that operate within the City, beginning January 1, 2025. The adopted regulations will create a licensing system to ensure compliance with these requirements. Licenses will be available online through eTRAKiT and will cost $150, comparable to what other municipalities along the front range charge for short-term rental licensing programs. Licenses will be valid for one-year, and will need to be renewed on an annual basis to continue operating.
