Summary & Background
As stewards of our public spaces, the PRG Division is focused on promoting resident health, safety and education through a variety of relevant programs and services for the community. One of our goals is to continue to activate the core city with more amenities designed to promote fitness and wellness. Adams County agrees to disburse grant funds to Applicant to provide reimbursement for the payment of project costs upon successful completion of the Project, or on a quarterly basis. Itemized Reimbursement Requests, as set forth below, are required for reimbursements. Should the Project take two full years to complete, the Reimbursement Request for the final period of the project must be received by August 9, 2024 to remain compliant with the Project Completion Date, as set forth above. Reimbursements disbursed from Adams County shall not exceed 46.07% of project costs incurred during the previous period with cumulative reimbursements totaling no more than $1,895,515.24. With a total project cost of $4,340,750.

Additional funding has become available from the 2K Initiative (1% sales tax) passed in November 2013. The park will include a perimeter path, open play fields, an inclusive playground, a picnic area with a large shelter, and a plumbed restroom. Other amenities will be determined after public outreach has occurred. A 10-acre future elementary school site is located directly south of the future park site.
