RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR NEW RECREATION CENTER PRELIMINARY AND FINAL DESIGN SERVICES

Summary and Background Information:
It was agreed to include all stretch goals, a larger gymnasium, larger community room and an outdoor fitness deck in the design of the New Recreation Center. These changes resulted in the construction budget increasing from $21.5 M to $33.9 M. SCD’s original fee was based upon 6.25% of the construction budget. They are proposing a fee increase from $1,346,390 to $2,125,595 based upon 6.25% of revised construction budget. They are also requesting an increase from $9,500 to $20,000 for FF&E procurement based upon the larger facility and unchanged indirect costs for a total amended contract value of $2,190,595.
