A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SERVER, STORAGE, AND BACKUP UPGRADE SERVICES TO ADVANCED NETWORK MANAGEMENT

Summary and Background Information:
The Information Technology Department’s strategic plan has identified a critical need to replace the existing storage, server and backup infrastructure. The current infrastructure is approaching end of life and needs to be refreshed in order to ensure IT services continue to be reliable and secure. Replacing the IT infrastructure hardware is a routine part of maintaining the IT infrastructure.
These costs are included in the 2023 approved budget and are estimated at $650,000. The proposed solution would leverage the State of Colorado cooperative purchasing program through the Dell reseller Advanced Network Management.

Staff recommends moving forward with awarding the contract to Advanced Network Management for the purchase and use of Dell server, storage and backup services subject to finalization of the contract and executed by the City Manager.
