Summary and Background Information

There are thousands of children in Adams County who receive little to nothing to eat when they are not at school. Food for Hope is here to provide these children with nutritious food so that they can grow, learn, and thrive among their peers. This is accomplished by forming intentional partnerships with school districts and local schools. Our goal is to one day serve every school in Adams County and meet the nutritional needs of students who don't receive adequate food at home.

Additionally, we believe in the power of a community working together toward the common goal of fighting childhood hunger. It’s our desire to provide the infrastructure so local churches and other organizations can adopt local schools in their communities.  The underlying force that fuels this entire ministry is that we believe we are simply called to love one another.

Food for Hope has been partnering with Maryann Mosquera at the AD14 Hope Closet by fulfilling all the food needs, for around a year now. Food for Hope provides food to local students/families experiencing hunger and food insecurity. We do this through relationships we have built with schools and school districts. We are currently helping students in Adams 12, Adams 14, 27J, Pinnacle and WPS (Feed 5000 Holiday Meal Boxes with potential for a food bank soon). Food for Hope supports these areas by running 8 In School Food Banks and providing hundreds of weekend food bags and thousands of weekday snacks. We are supporting over 20 schools here in Adams County.
