AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2013 BUDGET OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY, COLORADO BY THE RECOGNITION OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE - COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING SERVICES (COPS) GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $125,000 FOR THE HIRING OF ONE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER AND THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE EXPENDITURE THEREOF.

Summary and Background Information: This grant will pay 100% of wages and benefits for one entry level commissioned School Resource Officer for three years. The Police Department must retain the position for at least 12 months concluding the grant period.
