Body

Summary and Background Information: Join us in advocating for awareness that can help create a better future for victims of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Unintentional injuries, including motor vehicle accidents, are the leading cause of death in children.  Of all the types of TBIs, brain injuries are the most likely to result in death or permanent disability.  Working tirelessly to support and aid adolescent survivors of TBIs while also advocating for change to ensure reckless drivers are held responsible for their actions.  Despite a lengthly criminal record, the man convicted of causing the accident that tragically took Gracie's life was only charged with a misdemeanor resulting in 30 days of jail time.  During the time period between causing Gracie's fatal accident and pleading guilty in an Adams County Court, this specific driver was also charged with driving under the influence. We must protect our children by advocating to keep multiple offenders off the road and educating our community on TBIs.

These funds will go to support the Second Annual Graces Memorial 5k.
