Recognition of Commerce City Historical Society Coloring Book Winners

Summary and Background Information: The Commerce City Historical Society's annual coloring book program is an opportunity to teach elementary school students within Commerce City about the city's history. All second grade students within School District 27J and the Adams 14 School District received a coloring book April 16-17 , 2015. All second graders could submit completed entry pages in the coloring contest by May 5, 2015. Entries were picked up at each school and judged by members of the Commerce City Historical Society. An art show and reception was held at the civic center lobby prior to the council meeting, where 41 winners representing nine schools will receive their certificates. Winner information provided May 12 is as follows:
