Title

A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY AND THE ADAMS 14 SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR COLLABORATIVE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Body

Summary and Background Information

The City has initiated an intergovernmental agreement for the Adams School District 14 to provide transportation services for the city’s recreation field trips, events and activities.

The District will provide transportation services using District-owned buses operated by District personnel to transport youth participants and staff to and from field trips, events and activities coordinated through the City’s Department of Parks, Recreation & Golf (“Programs”).

The PRG Department can often transport participants using its own fleet of passenger vehicles. However, due to the larger numbers of summer participants, it is necessary to contract with a local provider to transport participants of our summer camp programs.
