Title

RESOLUTION APPROVING the 2015 amendment to the intergovernmental agreement concerning the implementation of an “e911” “Emergency telephone service”

Body

The Adams County E-911 authority seeks an amendment to the IGA so that the authority may request approval from the Public Utilities Commission to impose an emergency telephone charge, in excess of $.70 per line. State law allows the authority to impose an emergency telephone charge up to $.70 and requires PUC approval for any amount over $.70 per line. The Adams County E-911 authority would like to seek PUC approval to exceed $.70 per line to improve the service delivery of the Adams County Communications Center. The current IGA, which was adopted in 1986, sets the amount of the surcharge at $.70 per line and would not allow application for additional review to the PUC.
