A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF TYLER TECHNOLOGIES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE AND USE OF TYLER NEW WORLD TECHNOLOGIES SOFTWARE

Summary and Background Information:
The Commerce City Information Technology Department is seeking to enter into a new contract with Tyler Technologies Inc, for the New World ERP software, professional services, and support. The Commerce City IT, Finance, and Human Resources Department would like to continue using the Tyler New World ERP system for Payroll, Human Resources, Budget, Accounting, and reporting functions of the city. The New World ERP system provides critical system features for the Finance and Human Resources Departments along with a critical resource for all City employees. In 2025, staff plan to move forward with a project to complete a formal RFP for an ERP system. This project, including selection and implementation of a new ERP system is anticipated to take 3-4 years. Commerce City originally entered into contract with Tyler Technologies Inc, for the New World ERP System in 2007 and will continue to use this system until the Human Resources Department, Finance Department, and IT Department identify a better solution through the RFP process.
Solicitation Activity: The acting City Manager approved a single source waiver.
