Summary and Background Information:
Commerce City has been recognized as a "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation for the 32nd consecutive year. This is a testament to the city's promotion, interest of planting and caring for trees in city-owned properties.
To celebrate and promote Arbor Day this year, on April 21st, the Parks, Recreation and Golf department will have flower seedlings and eight trees given away to the community at the Eagle Pointe and Bison Ridge Recreation Centers. Donna Davis from the Colorado State Forest Service will attend the City Council meeting on April 17, 2023 to present the Tree City USA Award to the Mayor and City Council.
