Title
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POSTING LOCATIONS FOR ORDINANCES AND PUBLIC MEETINGS
Body
Summary and Background Information:
In order to comply with the Colorado Open Meetings Law, it is necessary for the City of Commerce City to post a listing of public meetings. Further, the posting locations of such meetings are to be designated annually and the Commerce City Charter requires council designate two public places for the posting of ordinances.
In early 2022, Council desired to explore additional posting options. Staff encouraged City Council not to add additional location requirements for posting notices, but committed to expanding the way council agenda notices were advertised throughout the community. The City began stocking flyers with QR codes that point to the City's Legistar agenda portal at the recreation centers. Staff also created slides for the TVs at City facilities advertising the Legistar page and increased social media postings for agenda notices.
The 2021 Granicus Traffic Report and 2022 Granicus Traffic Report are attached for comparison.
