Summary and Background Information:
On July 10, 2023, City Council passed Ordinance 2527. This ordinance enacted a twelve-month moratorium on new retail and medical marijuana store license in Wards I and II in the City. The moratorium is set to expire on February 1, 2025. City Council held a Study Session on November 25, 2024 to discuss repealing the moratorium after new security requirements and store limits were enacted.
